Week 19

Some game companies want highly trained graduate artists and programmers. Some claim they really prefer creative individuals with a good Liberal Arts background. They can’t both be right can they?
This all depends what the companies are looking for so if the company wanted a professional and skilled full artist he would obviously look for someone who has those qualities if he wants someone who is creative individual with a good Liberal Arts background he would search for those quality in a person!!

They both are right and considerable to get jobs as they already experienced different things! For example when i had a job for TALKTALK i knew nothing about it but they have thought me everything that i needed to know!! What i am trying to say if the creative individual with a good liberal arts background went on an interview and lacked a few stuff they wouldn’t reject him straight away! They will find out what he lacked and touch that up till it’s mastered! This will be probably done while he is accepted or as a trainee. There are no negatives if people slack a few skills you could always learn it!! It’s because art is huge and has different style which leads to exploring other technique and skills! When i started this course i knew i didn’t know everything and i knew i slacked a few skills but i know that i could improve on it or start learning different skills! Like 3D max i didn’t know a single thing about it but now i know the basics and I’m not so bad at the program but my target is to become a pro at it! =D so i strongly believe that both of the skills that was mentioned on the question would receive positive feedback!
